Excursion to Ponte Brolla & Dinner at Grotto America

For our excursion on Tuesday, 2 June, all guests are invited to join a short hike from Verscio to Ponte Brolla, followed by dinner in the evening.

We will begin by taking the bus from Monte Verità to Verscio shortly after lunch at 14:00. The hike will take us around Monte Sello, through lush summer vegetation, with a stop at a small prehistoric ruin offering amazing views of the surrounding mountains and Lago Maggiore. From there, we will descend to Ponte Brolla, a beautiful site at the Maggia River, where there will be time to enjoy a swim in the emerald-green waters. At 19:00, we will gather for dinner at Grotto America, a cozy restaurant right next to the river, serving local Italian and Swiss cuisine. Two buses will be available to bring everyone back to Monte Verità and Ascona.

The hike itself takes approximately 2:30 to 3:00 hours and has an elevation gain of about 300 meters, so we encourage all guests to come prepared. For those who cannot participate in the hike, there is also the option to walk directly from Verscio to Ponte Brolla, which only takes about half an hour.
